In a move that is bound to surprise many, the Scottish side has made 11 changes to the team that beat Romania in their opening fixture of the Rugby World Cup 2011. Scotland beat Romania in the Rugby World Cup match on Saturday but struggled to do so and will now have to ensure that they can get the better of Georgia in their next Rugby World Cup 2011 match on Wednesday.
Rory Lawson was named the captain of the side for this particular game.
Scotland were trailing Romania in that game, before finally triumphing 34-24 in the match at Rugby Park Stadium. While the changes were bound to be made, what will add to the controversy is the fact that there are 11 changes that are made, which could affect the continuity of the side in the tournament.
Max Evans, Allan Jacobsen, Sean Lamont and Kelly Brown are the only four who have been retained in the side for the Georgia game.
Scotland go into the match with four wins in a row. The coach clarified that the changes were made because the side did not have too many days between the matches.
